Impact investor Vital Capital (Vital) has announced a strategic investment in Vastpoint, a land and geospatial solutions startup working to transform land ownership in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions.
The funding will enable Vastpoint to scale its operations and extend its reach in developing countries, where the company works to bring first-time land ownership to underserved populations. Vital will partner with Vastpoint’s management team to accelerate expansion efforts.
Founded with the goal of building more transparent, inclusive, and efficient land systems, Vastpoint provides land administration services and advanced geographic information systems (GIS) technologies. Its solutions help communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America to manage land records, increase property tax collection, and improve land tenure security.
To date, the startup has issued over 820 000 land titles and provided training to more than 20 000 individuals. Notably, over half of these land titles have benefited women as sole or joint owners - underscoring the company’s commitment to gender equity in land rights.
“Vastpoint is a perfect example of how technology, innovation, and strategic investment can come together to address systemic development challenges,” said Nimrod Gerber, Managing Partner at Vital Capital. “By improving land security, we’re not only empowering communities, but we’re also laying the groundwork for long-term prosperity and resilience.”
Vastpoint joins a broader portfolio of companies backed by Vital that are designed to deliver market-rate returns while generating measurable social impact.
