Applications are now open for the EY SDG Accelerator for Women, a global programme designed to support women-led artificial intelligence (AI) ventures aligned with the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The six-month accelerator provides selected entrepreneurs with a range of benefits including personalised coaching, professional development workshops, and access to a global network of investors, corporates, and social innovators. Participants will also engage in peer-to-peer learning and gain visibility through curated events and promotional opportunities.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
· Tech for Good: Ventures must use AI or machine learning (ML) to drive social impact and adhere to AI practices.
· Female Founder: The applicant must be a woman and a founder, co-founder, or owner of the company, serving as the key decision-maker (CEO/MD) with a significant ownership stake.
· Social Enterprise: The organisation must be a for-profit, non-profit, hybrid, or cooperative social enterprise.
· Geographic Focus: Operations must be based in Africa, Latin America, South, or Southeast Asia.
· Legal & Operational Status: The business must be legally registered and in operation for at least one year.
· Growth Potential: Applicants should demonstrate a desire to grow both the business’ income and its social impact.
· Language Requirement: Fluency in English is required, as the programme is delivered globally.
